Staying Home on a Saturday

Staying home on a Saturday is a novelty for me. I woke up at eight this morning with a bad cold which I got from my good friend Ricardo Pascual who came visiting last week! I thought about my plans for the weekend and, already, I know that, tomorrow, I will skip church and miss the planned visit to one of my best friends Jane Feliciano and her new son Joaquin. Jane will never forgive me if Joaquin catches this Malaysian bug (yes, it is Malaysian because Ricardo brought it from KL where he is studying advanced Feng Shui). Well, since I am the type who can't spend the whole day in bed: I have so far managed to get the handyman to fix one of my cupboards and my sliding door in the living room. Bargaining would have been impossible if not for the kindness of Lily, my landlady, who ably negotiated over the phone.

After receiving some questions from curious friends, I am now adding Ricardo's picture. He has fully recovered from the Malaysian bug experience and is happily back in Basel with his new toy, a MOFA!

And here are the pictures taken by Carla during Ricardo's visit:

Going back to my day, I also cooked sinigang for lunch for my cousin Grace and me. Grace is staying with me while she is studying for a degree in Intimate Apparel (yes that is a course) here at the HK Poly U. Afterwards, my landladyLily and her daughter Sherry passed by to collect some stuff that were left in one of my cupboards. And so now, I am thinking of tonight and Sunday.

Leng is coming to over to prepare dinner. Nilagang baka! That should help nurse me back to health. With some help from Tylenol and a long sleep.

I already called Chris. She will come over tomorrow to do my nails and give me an aromatic massage.

So, that's what I have done or planned so far for the weekend. Not bad for a sick gal! And well, blogging is great. I get to practice writing again. Hopefully, I will get back to the level of my highschool english. (Kids, business writing kills.)
