Another fun evening

I quoted Gandhi recently. "There's more to life than increasing its speed." This is true. An equally valid truth though is that life just keeps on going... and perhaps, one way to slow it down is to take time to enjoy the many small pleasures that it offers. For example, last night, we celebrated Joaquin's first birthday. We all trouped to Tung Chung for this special occasion!

Happy birthday, Joaquin!
Thanks to Mommy Jane, Uncle Itoy, Lolo and Lola for the abundant buffet!

A highschool classmate of mine, Bric, was in town for a short holiday. Thanks to Facebook, Bric hooked up with Soy and me. Soy organised a night-out straight from our children's party!

Bric, I don't know if you are aware of the fact that the first bouquet of flowers I received ever in my life was from you... way... back in 1982! When were in grade 9! Thanks so much! A bouquet of flowers... especially red roses... remains to be my most favorite gift. One of our group photos (with Bric on the very right).

Cheers! Note the arrangement: girls on one side and boys on the other!!!
UPIS Batchmates: Bric, me & Soy
Thanks Bric. I tagged those three photos from your Facebook!

Thanks to everybody for another fun evening!!!

P.S.

Tessa, if I move I will miss the view and the apartment... terribly!

Ting,I sometimes think of moving to save on rent. But, like you said to me once before, one has to look forward to coming home after a hard day's work! So, I am staying put here for as long as I can still afford it. I was happy to have you sleep over before your move to LA! You definitely left some good vibes here. Ummm... and we did miss you last night esp at Joaquin's first birthday! Perhaps, you can swing by for the 2nd? I looooveeee your post on napping. After last night, I am badly in need of one!

Arnold, hope you are feeling better.

Sassies, lets thank Chesca for these precious pictures of our adolescence: http://cyberscrapbook.blogspot.com/2007/10/up-friends.html

Here's proof (probably won't recognize me with all that goop on my face.. yikes!) that I am personally responsible for some of the damage to the ozone layer.

  2. What sweet reminders that time flies... your friend's son's first birthday (when you still remember visiting her in the hospital after she gave birth) and pictures from the 80s (so brave of you to show them my dear, when I attend weddings and they show the couple growing up, somehow everyone seems to edit out the 80s!) ... certainly want to make you cherish every moment.
