What a horrible, horrible week for the financial markets. And what a fabulous, fabulous week for socials and retail! I spent all my evenings enjoying good food and excellent company!
Monday the 20th - Vino (Italian) with Carla, Lucy (visiting from Basel), Miranda
Tuesday the 21st - Zuma (Japanese) with Carla, Lolong (visiting from New York) , Lucy
Wednesday the 22nd - At the Wooldridges with Bessie, Carla, Eli, Lolong, Lucy, Marie, for Lolong's delicious pinoy-inspired cooking
Thursday the 23rd - Beirut (Lebanese) with Carla, Lolong, Lucy, Nicole
Friday the 24th - La Mer (French) with Carla, Eli, Lolong, Marie and then to Zuma for after-dinner SAKE
Saturday - Hakka Ye Ye (Chinese) for Jean's white-themed and very belated birthday dinner with Ado, Arlene, Gary, Ginger, Ivy, Jean (of course!), Michel, Soy and then Pop Bites for some sweets and sangria
From front, clock-wise: Soy, Gary, Jean, Arlene, Ado, Ginger, Ivy, me, and Michel

I also went shopping at OVO (http://www.ovohome.com.hk/) and Richard Richards with Carla, Lolong, and Nicole -- well, Lolong and Nicole were the ones doing the real shopping but Carla and I did end up taking a few swipes! After dreaming about OVO's sugar stool for a year and a half, I finally succumbed. Thanks to Carla's charms and VIP frequent shopper status, I got it at 60% off!
I am calling HER Daisy Jr (after Carla's big Daisy center table). My english cow has found a home in my newly re-arranged living room. This re-configuration became necessary in order to accomodate the new centerpiece of my living room -- my very own treadmill-- which I am calling Reebs! And, people, you will be happy to know that I worked out five times this week! Totally motivated by the horrendous amount of calories that I imbibed dining out every single night of the week! I admit I felt deprived of food and ambience when I was on the Silk Road!!!
Please welcome Daisy Jr and Reebs. The first picture is overexposed (yes, Rache, I should really buy that DSLR but I am an idiot when it comes to techie stuff.) Don't you just love Daisy Jr's rich chocolate brown fur?
Moo! The stool looks so plush. I wouldn't mind working out 5x a week with a view like that. :) I'm meeting the Gelis for dinner tomorrow. They want Aussie fare so I'm taking them to Hurricane's Grill. Will take pictures, promise!
ReplyDeletehaha, the treadmill really is right smack at the center of the living room! there is no escaping the workout now... =P
ReplyDeletenice group pic -- and to think it's from a phone cam!
despite the incongruity of the treadmill in the middle of this artfully decorated place, i love it!
