I went to bed with a headache last night. That was after poring over pictures and pictures of bags on FB. I ended buying two -- it is for a good cause, afterall!
What about FB?
Gigo Alampay posted some art bags, one-of-a-kind, made from the banners from his "Looking for Juan Outdoor Banner Exhibit" at the University of Philippines in July. The bags were designed by Trashe Bolsas, a nonprofit that trains womens communities in Antipolo and Laguna to clean and sew recycled tarps into quality bags. Proceeds from the sales of these bags will benefit Padyak, a UP-based movement that promotes cycling and environmentalism as a healthy lifestyle, as well as CANVAS' efforts to promote Philippine art, culture and the environment. (I lifted this almost verbatim from Gigo's FB.)
My loot:
"Juan Line" by Dansoy Coquilla - one side
the other side

"Filipino Flight" by Dominique Agsaway - one side

the other side
