Len slowly and patiently scraped off the plaster from the base of my beloved chandelier. Thanks, Len! The screw just will NOT come off after a couple of gentle nudges. We are afraid that the chandelier -- or worse, the whole ceiling, would fall on our heads if we remove this offending object by force! So, I took the path of least resistance and covered the stem with some cloth and these lovely golden tassels that I got for HK35 from Ladder St!
Great job cleaning it up! The wrap looks like it's really part of the whole thing.
