I saw a long thread of emails from that same group of friends that went to the Police and Lea Salonga concerts. They were debating whether or not Amy Winehouse deserves the five grammy awards that she won recently. Apparently, this discussion was going on for quite awhile already. Soy sent it to me and this was my contribution:
"Who is Amy Winehouse?"
No one bothered to reply.
I was going to say the same thing... Soy, maybe we can hang out in HMV one of these days.

ReplyDeleteher music is so fresh: strong 50s/60s undertone, with a retro/modern bass hook and with story-telling lyrics that she delivers with an attitude, with or without the profanities.
perhaps she could do away with that hyper-beehive hairdo + strange clothes... and it would certainly help her very much if she were to look for a rehab center and just go, go, go (sorry, cannot help it!)
Naku, I also asked that question. Then I saw an article in a back issue of Time Magazine about her. Well, she really looks like she should stay in a rehab. And, yes, I also have not heard any of her songs.
