On my favorite morning ritual

Life to me is a series of projects and rituals.  It could be a trip, afternoon tea, saving, investing, spending, even falling in love and out, whatever. This makes me a NOT so spontaneous person. My best-est BFF doctor-psychiatrist made a rather apt observation years ago that security is most important to me. Though she hardly practised being a doctor choosing instead  to bear and raise two lovely kids full-time, her psyche analysis of me is very, very correct. Accepting this truth has, in fact, made me a happier person.

On the rituals part, one of the best on my list is a walk up to Victoria Peak via Old Peak Road. I usually do this early on weekend mornings or weekday evenings. It's best done with a good friend, whether or not he or she is into these things because there is no law against stopping for a rest. Last time my sister  and her daughter were here, they did this ritual with me one fine Saturday morning. The rewards were the best HK harbour view enjoyed without a single soul in sight and a yummy breakfast al fresco at Tsui Wah.   It's hard to beat that combination!
