I had brunch with Cindy He-Schmidt, her son Luca, and a former colleague Fiona. It was my second time at Cru, Staunton St, Soho. I had crepes with bananas, maple syrup, vanilla ice cream, and whipped cream. My friends had eggs, sausage, bacon and toast. I would recommend it.
Afterwards, we walked down Peel St. I intentionally brought my camera to take pictures of Luca. He is 7 months old now. 11 kilos. He was very happy to go on a little drive in his tram!
I am afraid that Peel St and its stalls selling all sorts of produce: vegetables, household wares, HK souvenirs, flowers, plants, and many other things, will be gone soon. It will be giving way to the development of three (last, I heard!) big hotels to cater to the increasingly numbers of tourists and business people coming to HK these days!
I am sorry to lose what little is left of old Hong Kong!
