Typhoon Neoguri chose to come to Hong Kong yesterday giving us her strongest winds and heaviest rain just when my guests were on their way over to my place for a party. Except for two who had very good reasons, twelve of the fourteen in the guest list made it... which goes to show how determined they were to keep me company!
There is only ONE SECRET for a successful party. THE GUESTS! They were (in alphabetical order):
Anna
Carla
Gary
Ginger
Grace
Irene
Ivy
Marie
Phil
Sandy
Soy
Xavi

As of last count: 10 bottles wine (including those from Sheila & Michel) & 18 bottles of beer. Methinks we should have another party next weekend!
missy: we learned later the black rain signal was raised at 7pm = around the time that ivy and i stood, dripping wet, at the taxi queue stand, battling the elements and keeping some out-of-town tourists from jumping the queue!
ReplyDeletebut of course, not even Neoguri could distract us from attending the pinoy food/karaoke party! and with our singing "powers", we were later able to banish the storm away from HKG! ha ha ha
thanks for a fun night, missy!!!
looks like i missed a great party... and a perfect way to spend a night of typhoon.
ReplyDeleteenjoyed the photos... did gary actually sing or did he just flipped through the songbook all night? Xavi is obviously hanging out with Filipinos too long as he gets used to the karaoke lifestyle ;-)
miss you all
