This is a picture of my dad and me taken in 1968. The point of this post is that every girl out there is some man's daughter. There will always be a unique bond between them.
Last September, I blogged about a little girl called Jamie and her dad. Well, here is a two-part conversation between them that is once again worthy to be shared.
Little girl: Dad, why did you not go to the village party? All my friends were there and it was so much fun. I wanted to introduce you to them.
Dad: I was really tired and I had to rest, baby.
Little girl: Were you just scared that I will introduce you to my friends as my fat daddy?
Dad: Of course not. I know you can do that but I was not worried about that.
Little girl: (Yawns) … You know Dad, I will not say that to my friends ... because they already know that you are fat.
The next day:
Little girl: Dad, here, try this chocolate-banana shake. It’s really yummy.
Dad: Thanks, baby, but I don’t drink fruit shake anymore.
Little girl: Why not, Dad?
Dad: (Clearly, still not over the fat daddy conversation from the night before) … Because I am fat, remember???
Little girl: Dad … you should love yourself.
So there mataba na kung mataba! We know who has the last say in this family. Happy new year to all daughters and their dads out there!
