Ever since agnes b le pain grille took it out from the menu, I have been on the hunt for decent steak tartare in Hong Kong. Unfortunately for me, I have been disappointed so many times. I have almost given up! Until, the other night at Upper Modern Bistro, Michellin-starred Philippe Orrico’s very new French fusion restaurant. While I still miss the traditional steak tartare, I found Orrico’s take on it to be quite refreshing. I loved the flavour and would go back for more. Next time, I am also going to try the mini veal burgers with mushroom garnish made with truffle and foie gras.
