The devil is in the details

I think that accessories can make or break a place. A friend suggested that since I have been obsessing about getting myself a flat in Manila in the next couple of years, I should already start collecting the stuff that I need to come up with my dream contemporary plus vintage loft-type home.

The wish list so far includes a gold Atollo lamp, 1 or 2 petrified wood stumps, a pair of vintage crystal chandeliers, and some coffee table books. 

My design-savvy friend recently styled a flat in HK. He used vintage posters, books, lamps, candles, plants and some of the owner's various knickknacks to bring everything together. If I weren't before this, then now, I am convinced that the devil is really in the details! Totally.
