Food Tripping in Macao (My 1st travelogue)

Saturday, 3 November
10 am: We took the Turbojet. Here are Cindy, Oliver and Baby Luca comfortably sitting in the boat.
11 am: Arrived in Macao. Dropped off our bags at the Mandarin Oriental. It was too early for lunch so we went for a walk! First stop: Wynn's!

Happy family picture in the lobby:

Picture of the Bulgari shop with very happy Missy, Bessie and Megan (Looked only. No buy!):

12:30 pm: Lunch at Henri's Galley. They have a website: http://www.henrisgalley.com.mo/.

The Lui family infront of Henris:
I recommend the African Chicken, the Chili Crabs, and the Clams. After all that food and sangria, Wayne took a nap!

2pm: I went sightseeing with the Schmidts and Corrinne...

The church

Corrinne enjoying lovely view from the church up on the hill

The Temple

The travelogue writer!

The Star Dragon Dance Dancer!

4:00 pm: Dropped off the Schmidts and Corrinne then went to meet Bessie and Megan in town. Note: No Wayne. Mother and daughter infront of the Ruins of St Paul's:

A view of Rua de Sao Paolo and some parts of the old town from the ruins

5:45 pm: Photo opp while waiting for a cab.

It was getting dark. No cabs. The Old Town at night. We could have been anywhere in Europe.

7:20 pm: Managed to get a cab. Made it to the restaurant. Here's the card, all in Chinese. Sorry, can't translate. Very local. Pee before you go! Definitely worth a visit inspite of that!

Favorites: Shark Fin Soup (a big order for 13 people costs only HK1,400 and it was the real thing.. my apologies to my diver-friends), deep-fried eel, and these crisp giant kangkong stalks! All to die for!

Off we strolled over to the Venetian. Here's a shot from behind!

Infront!
Around!
Checking in... Oops.. sorry wrong hotel. We promised ourselves next time...

(Chesca, do you recognize the jacket and the pose? Many thanks!)

The shopping arcade on the way to the casino.

The shops!
The shops! Still no buying! I am so proud of myself!

We had the kids with us which meant no entry to the casino. It's been a big day! Hit the sack at 12 mn! Nitey nite!

Sunday, 4 November

9:30 am: Woke up and had breakfast with Bessie and Megan at coffee shop of the Mandarin Oriental.

11:30 am: I went for a walk with the Lui family. Afterwards, we had lunch at Tacos. Here are pictures of our favorites: chilli crabs and suckling pig.

4:15 pm: It was time to take the Turbojet back to Hong Kong!

Thanks, Andy for organizing such a fun outing!
