My first Clubmed holiday

When Nicole Scherrer, one of my best friends in Basel, told me that she will be coming to Asia for holidays this month and asked if I wanted to go on one a Clubmed holiday, I excitedly said "yes!". I have heard so many nice things about Clubmed. They offer hassle-free holidays in beautiful locations (which are called "villages") all over the world. The airfare, hotel, airport transfers, sports, entertainment, food and drinks are all included. You just pay one fee and you could leave your wallet at home! Booking was so simple. A couple of phone calls and a few email exchanges with the ever efficient Anson of the HK booking office and we were all set!

Clubmed Phuket is lovely!

The Foyer

The garden

The pool and me

The beach
Dramatic lights at night

There are plenty of things to do! One can choose to be adventurous and take lessons on the flying trapeze or one can go for more regular things like:

Water Aerobics

Water Polo

Boating

Whatever the weather is, there is something to do. A lazy afternoon lounging on the beach.. watching people, reading a book, napping, admiring one's pedi courtesy of the Clubmed beauty salon (this you will have to pay for, of course)!

There are also the touristy stuff like what we did one day. We went on a tour of Phi Phi Island which was made famous by Leonardo di Caprio's film "The Beach"! Some shots:

We stopped in Phi Phi Lay, Phi Phi Don and Bamboo Island for snorkelling. I am not a good swimmer but thanks to Captain Cong and Nui who were very nice and accompanied me, I was able to see the beautiful corals and marine life in Phi Phi!

In the evenings, we were kept entertained. There was a flying trapeze show!

Here are the GOs. A wonderful batch of hardworking men and women who made sure that our whole stay at Clubmed was perfect.

Met some very special people like Judith and Tony. They were also GMs (guests). They made those few days in Phuket even more interesting and so much more fun.
And guess what, thanks to Filipino GOs Rey and Dino, Nicole and I even got on stage!

'Til the next Clubmed village!

PS To my friends with kids, this is the perfect set-up for you. The kids (minimum age: 2 years) will be pretty much occupied with mini-club activities during the day. Mom and dad can relax by themselves!
