Thanks to Chesca a.k.a the exskindiver, I learnt that Kay Uranza (now Mrs Crimi) is in Manila. I called her to get together and to, finally, meet her hubby Joe. Two years ago, I was in NY for Aimee Alampay-Kowalak's wedding and Chesca was there too. She told me about the love story! This was a match made by the Silva father-daughter team. At least, the idea was theirs!
Kay's mom and my dad are good friends from their college days. And Kay recalls that it was my dad who introduced her parents. Everyone loves to match-make!
So, there we were having coffee in Starbucks Katipunan. Getting the updates on our parents, siblings, and ourselves. Kay confirmed the story of this Rochester-Manila romance!
My conclusion: even after some setbacks, I still believe in love! And in living happily ever after!
Kay, if you haven't seen the Hugh Grant/Drew Barrymore movie "Music & Lyrics",now is the time to grab the DVD. And this song (Way Back into Love) is for you!
Hi! Thanks for including us in your blog. I will email you separately for other things on our "agenda". A "perfect set up"? Well, like anything of value, a lot of work goes into it, too. We're just glad that we were both willing to be patient, to work hard and, yes, to pray about what God wanted us to do. I'm sure the prayers that the ultimate father-daughter matchmaker team said for us helped a lot as well. - Kay
