When I was taking my Masters in Applied Math (years 1990-1992), my barkada consisted of Cayen Pilar (now Mrs Arceo), Angel Montepiedra (now Mrs de Guzman) and my cousin Geri Perez (now Mrs Serrano). Cayen and Angel were both young Math instructors - crush ng bayan of their even-younger students. Geri was a Clothing Tech student. We hang out a lot. Shared and lived through lots of secrets! A favorite was the Elephant Bar (???) in Greenhills. We loved their sushi and sashimi. On 31 December, with Angel visiting from Chicago where has been based for the past 13years(!), we got together for lunch at my Dad's house. Just like the good old days!
