Hong Kong is one of the most densely populated places on earth. Seven million people share just over 1,000 square kilometers of land. In this crazy capitalist city that I have come to love, development had gone vertical many, many decades ago. It is not easy, but if one looks hard enough, he or she could always find a home somewhere in these islands. After 13 years of living in Hong Kong, when it came for me to move flats two years ago, I knew exactly where I wanted to be. Here, on this quiet little street, I found my home. All it takes is to walk up to one whole floor of me.
I wanted my apartment to have a "New York feel". I also wanted to keep some of the Asian/Oriental pieces that I've collected over the past ten years. At the same time, I was aiming for a somewhat more modern vibe. To achieve this, I asked Richard to design and style my apartment. Later, to document all that, I asked Xavi to take the following pictures.
