More on that Singapore weekend:
Filipinos are huge rice-eaters. I attribute that to our largely agricultural/farming tradition. To continue eating rice in volume past puberty guarantees membership to the non-exclusive Fat Farm and the Diabetes Club, both of which I have no desire to join in this lifetime. No! God! No! Since cutting down on carbs 3.5 years ago, I noticed that I’ve become a bit of a dessert-person. I also went back to drinking that can of Coke Light “every now and then”. That's all that I am willing to confess at the moment.
Ummm … that was a pretty long introduction to what I really want to say to those dark chocolate lovers desperately looking for their chocolate fix!
After the crab dinner at Long Beach, we wandered aimlessly for a minute or two, passed by to say hello to the huge koi (if you've been there, you will know what I mean), and ended up at Jones the Grocer. There, I ordered dark chocolate sandwiched between biscuits and served with raspberries. No idea what it is called on the menu. But, there at Dempsey Hill that fateful evening, I had my "like water for chocolate" fix!
If you haven't figured out what I am really saying here, then I promise you, you will once you've had yours. Order at your own risk.

Absolute!
Alright, the koi .. trust me, there were/are huge!
