Tin Lung Heen @ the Ritz

I used to get plenty of visitors from Manila. But, not anymore. “My” people are of that age when they are super busy with work and family. Recently, three friends sans kids took a break and came for a long weekend. Earlier, I had promised to bring them to some of my favorite Chinese restaurants. For dimsum, it had to be the Ritz Carlton’s Tin Lung Heen. Yes, it may be a little bit pricey compared to your standard dimsum place, but the quality and the ambience make it well worth the trip.

I ordered several dishes but if I were to choose only two then I would recommend the Chef’s Signature Barbecued Combination (there are several items to choose from, my personal choices can be seen below) and the Barbecued Iberian Pork. When the waiter came to serve the Iberian Pork, he introduced it as “The best pork in the world!!!”. That was met with laughter from us, but, everyone admitted afterwards that, indeed, it could be one of the best in the porkworld!!!
